IT IS ALL FOR THE BIRDS
Istanbul’s
newest bird observation tower erected by the Ministry of Forest and Water Management has started
attracting birdwatchers and wildlife photographers. Located on one of the hills on the European side
of the Black Sea entrance of the Bosphorus, the tower presents an excellent
vantage point to watch migrating birds on their semiannual journey from one
continent to the other.
Below, a bird photographer aims at a winged migrating traveler.
Neither the photographers nor the watchers of birds want to miss this event.
The access to the tower is free. They even lend you binoculars, free of charge.
